Call for Innovations

Contribute to a Crowd-Sourced Article on Digital Public Goods & Open-Source Solutions for Food Security and Climate Resilience 

Are you working on digital public goods (DPGs) or open-source solutions that support sustainable agriculture, enhance food security, or address climate change mitigation or adaptation? The ICT4D Conference invites you to share your innovations for a crowd-sourced article spotlighting trends, innovative approaches, different business models, and lessons learned lessons learned when designing or implementing open-source solutions for food security and climate resilience.  

Submission Focus: We seek contributions from innovators, developers, and practitioners working at the intersection of technology and sustainable development. Topics of interest include: 

  • Agriculture: Open-source tools for smart farming, sustainable resource management, (smallholder) farmer support, and data-informed agricultural practices. 
  • Food Security: Digital public goods, open-source data sets, or AI/ML models that promote food access, resilience in food systems, and solutions addressing food distribution challenges. 
  • Climate Change Mitigation & Adaptation: Open-source climate models, tools or data for assessing climate impact, and public resources that enable communities to adapt to changing environments.

 

Who Should Submit: This call is open to all experts, organizations, developers, and practitioners worldwide. Whether you represent a tech company, an agricultural business, a research institution, a startup, a government or multilateral agency, or an international organization, we want to hear about the impactful tools and resources you’re creating or using!  

 

Why Contribute? Selected submissions will be featured in our collaborative article published on our website and shared with our global ICT4D community, offering you: 

  • Visibility within the ICT4D and global development community. The article will be published on our website and shared in a newsletter to about 9.000 subscribers.

How to Submit: Please send a brief description of your project (100–300 words), highlighting its goals, impact, and the open-source or public-good nature of your approach. Please include a link to your project’s website, GitHub repository, or other relevant resources.
